Activities

Rostherne House is ideally situated for touring.  Chester and Manchester are only 20 minutes away and the ‘Big Six’, i.e. Arley Hall, Tatton, Lyme Park, Dunham Massey, Capesthorne Hall and Gawsworth are also very close by.  The oldest timber-framed church in Europe, Little Moreton Hall, Clonter Opera, and the Cinnamon Club (dubbed ‘the Ronnie Scott’s of the North’ by the Manchester Evening News) are all less than ½ hour’s drive away.

There is also a small self-catering garden cottage/pied-de-terre located opposite the golf course in Alderley Edge, Cheshire available for overnight, weekend breaks or longer stays. Prices on application.

Golf – You may also play golf by arrangement, for an additional charge (Mere Golf and Country Club, or the championship course at Portal).

Cycling - We are on the Knutsford cycle way and we have our club.

Riding - Local riding schools will accommodate (Mobberly and Rostherne) there are also 2 stables and a small paddock available at the House where Horses can lodge overnight.
